Ken Engquist
Ken Engquist is a mining executive with 30 years of leadership experience advancing mineral projects from early-stage exploration through start-up and operations. He has overseen technical studies, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and operational execution, while also contributing to financing and M&A strategies across the mine development sector.
Ken recently served as CEO of Intrepid Metals and held COO roles at Western Copper and Gold and First Mining Gold, where he led the advancement of diverse project portfolios. His development work includes Nevsun’s Timok copper project, South32’s Hermosa zinc project, and Tinka Resources’ Ayawilca zinc project. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Rio Tinto and AngloGold Ashanti, managing large-scale capital projects and operations.
He currently serves as a Director and Board Advisor to several public and private organizations and holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
